Welcome to Wheat Ridge Girls Softball. Proudly providing organized softball for girls 4-15 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. 


We are the Wheat Ridge Girls' Softball Assn and have been around since 1952. We offer girls ages 5-15 the opportunity to learn and enjoy playing the sport of softball.  No experience is required and girls are placed on teams according to their ages. 

The girls start playing T- Ball in pre-K, Kindergarten or 1st grade learning the basics. Practices are held on one of the fields provided to us by the City of Wheat Ridge.  We belong to the Girls' Softball League of Jefferson County and inter-league with Arvada, Golden, Lakewood and South Jeff.  Two seasons are offered through the GSLJC.  Our spring/summer season is 8-9 weeks of games starting in May through July ending with a Yearend Tournament.  Our fall season is a time for coaches to form teams in preparation for the following spring/summer season.  Fall games are early September through mid-October.  We offer practices prior to each season.  

As the girls progress in their skills, they can compete at the competitive level if they wish. Tryouts are held in August at various locations throughout the county.

Practices will start mid-August - coaches have not set their practice times yet.  

Games will be played on Saturdays starting Sept. 12 thru Oct. 17(6 weeks).

So far, the following Wheat Ridge coaches have committed to coaching 2026 Fall -- CP, Scott Trengpve; 9U, Sharika Wesenberg; 10U, Dave Hampson; 12U Rene Velazquez and 14U, Jill Fricker.
